Data, add-ons and volumes
Managed add-ons
Cloud Noce manages PostgreSQL, Redis, MinIO, RabbitMQ, MariaDB and MongoDB as project add-ons. Connecting an add-on adds its credentials and connection addresses to the service’s variables, then redeploys the service to apply them. Quick Add-on creates and connects PostgreSQL or Redis in one step.
Create the add-on in the correct environment
Check its name, type, version and environment. Production and preview should not accidentally share a database.
Bind it to the service
Check injected keys such as DATABASE_URL or REDIS_URL on the add-on page and configure your application to use those names.
Check connections and migrations
Inspect startup logs and run migrations in a controlled manner. Several replicas running migrations simultaneously can cause a race.
Test backups and restores
Keep backup files outside the workload itself and periodically restore them in a separate environment.
Volumes
A volume is a persistent mount for uploads, application files or data that must survive restarts and releases. Its mount path must exactly match where the application writes. Manage volume files from the dashboard or with gerdoo service files|pull|push.
File operations on data volumes may be restricted to prevent corruption. Before moving or deleting files, stop the writing process and back up the data.
