Installation and updates

Install automatically with install.sh, or manually with the binary for your system.

The recommended command is curl -fsSL https://get.gerdoo.cloud/install.sh | sh. On Linux and macOS, the script detects amd64 or arm64 architecture and downloads the appropriate file from https://get.gerdoo.cloud .

The default installation directory is /usr/local/bin. If the current user cannot write there, the script uses sudo when moving the binary. Set GERDOO_BIN_DIR to install elsewhere.

For manual installation, download gerdoo_<os>_<arch> from releases, make it executable with chmod +x, and place it on PATH as gerdoo. On Windows, download gerdoo_windows_amd64.exe and place it on PATH.

After installation, check the installed version with gerdoo version.

Sign-in, sign-out and tokens

Authenticate with your Cloud Noce account and use tokens in CI.

Run gerdoo login. The CLI displays a short code and opens the Cloud Noce confirmation page in your browser. Compare the code in the terminal with the code on the page and approve sign-in. The CLI then receives its token automatically. You never enter your password in the terminal, which also makes it easier to let an AI assistant use the CLI safely.

If the browser does not open automatically or you are working on a remote machine, gerdoo login --no-browser prints the address for you to open. If you already have a token, gerdoo login --token grd_... saves it. For machines without a browser or an existing token, gerdoo login --password uses the older email/mobile and password flow.

The token is stored in ~/.config/gerdoo/config.json. gerdoo whoami shows the current account, and gerdoo logout removes the configuration file.

To connect to another API, use gerdoo login --api <url> or GERDOO_API. The default is https://api.gerdoo.cloud .

In CI/CD, store the token as a secret and supply it through GERDOO_TOKEN at runtime. You do not need to run gerdoo login in that case.

Quick installation

The install.sh script detects the operating system and architecture, downloads the appropriate binary and installs it in /usr/local/bin.

Manual installation

Download the appropriate gerdoo_<os>_<arch> from releases or the download location, make it executable and place it on PATH.
